Subject: Product reset briefing — Peeko
Mode: Digest-first
PEEKO
A digest-first product reset. This document tracks the gstack review sequence, records each stage's output, and holds the team to the locked constraints.
Section I
Locked constraints
These decisions are final for this reset cycle. Do not revisit without new evidence.
Digest-first wedge
Together-first hero blocked
Broad parenting platform blocked
Smallest provable loop only
Reset rules
- Do not drift into broad parenting platform land.
- Every feature must justify digest value.
- Specific and trustworthy beats magical and vague.
- Setup burden must stay tiny.
Section II
Review sequence
Four stages. Each produces a locked output before the next begins. Incomplete stages are marked TBD.
Challenge the product thesis brutally. Strip out the overbuilt parts. Define the smallest complete loop worth building.

Findings
- The wedge is digest-first, not Together-first.
- The real pain is not lack of controls. It is lack of visibility and context.
- Smallest loop: safe child experience → exact logging → digest → one better question later.
- Together, web dashboard, playlists, recommendations, exports deferred.
- The product only wins if the digest feels specific, trustworthy, and immediately useful.
Full transcript
Peeko should not start as a giant parenting platform.
The irreducible job is: help me understand my child's
screen time well enough to turn it into a real
conversation later.
Parents may not pay for "nice-to-have awareness." They
will only pay if the digest gives them fast trust and
real conversational value.
Anything that weakens safe experience, exact logging,
digest usefulness, or paid conversion should wait.
OVERBUILT:
Together sessions, co-watch, co-draw, co-play,
web dashboard, co-parent roles, weekly summaries,
recommendations, playlists, advanced scheduling,
remote controls, owl cosmetics, gallery, exports.
SMALLEST COMPLETE LOOP:
01. Parent creates one child profile.
02. Parent enables a small default curated pack.
03. Child uses Peeko in a bounded safe mode.
04. Peeko logs exact titles and duration.
05. Parent sees a digest with exact titles, a short
recap, and one question to ask tonight.
06. Paid unlocks richer summaries and prompts.
POSITIONING:
Peeko is the kid-safe screen-time app that tells
you exactly what your child watched today — and
gives you one good question to ask tonight.
Lock the one-sentence thesis, one-sentence positioning, 5-item MVP scope, hard cut list, and the one metric that matters.
